Peacemakers are the opposite of Peacekeepers. Keeping peace is about control, maintaining status quo and keeping hold of what you already have. Peacekeeping’s chief motivation is fear. Peacemaking, on the other hand, is about letting go of the control and power, trusting that we will do the best we can, take care of what we are responsible, and then leaving the rest in the hands of God. Through peacemaking, we can create a healthy environment where strong, gentle, and courageous leadership can be planted, watered, and grown in the hearts of men.
Peacemakers is a men-only group that is committed to fellowshipping with one another weekly, and to getting real about the challenges and struggles that all men encounter when trying to do husbandry and fatherhood alone. (If you are in an abusive relationship or struggling with control and want help – we suggest Beyond Belief.) It is a place for men to unite around achieving the common goal to live out their calling as men, husbands, and fathers. They are responsible to challenge each other and keep one another accountable, as they spend time studying the Word, praying, building relationship, and doing life together.
